Blueberry Lucas

We are adding one to our ranks! Yes, the one who has been named "Blueberry Lucas" will join us in September, just six short months away. Blueberry has been referred to as "she" for several weeks, so it will come as a suprise if Blueberry is in fact a "he". We are convinced Blueberry is of the female variety because things have been so different this time around and she has been what Drew has termed "high maintenance." I say she is channeling her 14 year-old self and is already being spiteful to her mother. While I was hardly ever sick with Joseph, Blueberry has caused much running to the bathroom (all times of the day), pulling the car over, and constant munching on bland snacks. That being said, all that stopped abrubtly as soon as I hit the 12-week mark. Blueberry has also caused extreme sluglike behavior. Meaning, I wish I could stay home and watch tv all day long. I really think I could watch tv all. day. long. And you know I'm not one to sit still and "slug" for hours on end. Sometimes I sit down on the couch and fall asleep without knowing that I'm asleep and Drew says I try to act like I'm awake. I bet that it's pretty hilarious and I'm just glad he hasn't video'd it. That part is starting to get better too. All that being said, everything looks good and we're just enjoying being sluggy. And, I have, without a doubt, the best husband ever . . . EVER! I have been so well taken care of for the past 12 weeks. I have to try not to let myself get too spoiled. I told him he should give up his current profession and take care of pregnant women.

Starting him early

I could just be a mother and think my child is a little smarter/funnier/more athletically inclined than the average bear. But Joseph has taken to dribbling a soccer ball around the house. And he's really quite good at it.
